SUBJECT : COMPANY'S PROFILE . IBN ARAB TRADING has started performing its business in the year 1996. Its main activity was in marketing agricultural products, mainly between The South and North of Iraq, Turkey, Syria and Iran. In the year 1998 the company has entered the field of electrical materials and equipment. Supplying seeds was also performed within the company's activities. The company was doing all these activities from Dubai - UAE and LAHORE - PAKISTAN - PANJAB provinces. In1998 the head office of the company has been moved to DUBAI where its activities have extended to include contributing in local and international tenders and contracts floated by the different Ministries and governmental departments in Dubai. It had successfully executed some of these contracts. Working with these different ministries & governmental departments has developed a very good relation and contacts, which the company has fully benefited from later. The company set up a policy to expand its activities in the Gulf States starting with Pakistan where a new office was opened in the year 1998 where as the company performed Export - Import Transactions via Al Humriah port. Agricultural products mainly dates was the main item among the exporting goods. It was exported mainly to India and the Far East countries. The imports good includes electrical materials, electrical equipment, tiers and ready-made clothes. By the 1999 IBN ARAB Trading was one of the leading Export-Import companies in the field of electrical materials and electrical equipment, tiers and ready-made clothes. Business in sea transport has encouraged the company to go for deal more in petroleum products such as D2…. Etc. within the Gulf Regions. petroleum products has tempted the company to enter this field of buying and selling petroleum products. This was first done in the year 1999.
